The\u00a050-ton\u00a0turntable will be replaced by a stronger, more maneuverable one in the following weeks.\u00a0The new turntable will also improve locomotives&#8217; operations and increase the locks&#8217; capacity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Panama Canal Authority (ACP)<\/strong><br \/>\nThe ACP is the autonomous agency of the Government of Panama in charge of managing, operating and maintaining the Panama Canal.
