He holds a degree in economics from Stanford University in California. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in the United States.
He is the General Manager of the Global Bank Corporation and previously served as Executive Vice President. He oversaw financial planning, long-term financing strategies, treasury operations, and key relationships with rating agencies and institutional investors.
He was vice president of investment banking at Merrill Lynch & Company in Mexico, where he specialized in financial and strategic analysis for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and capital market transactions. Previously, as a Debt Capital Markets partner in New York, he focused on structured debt transactions for Latin American issuers.
He is a member of the INCAE Business School Board of Directors and president of «Enseña por Panamá.» He has also served on the boards of Latinex Holdings, the Panama Stock Exchange, and Rey Holdings.
On June 25, 2025, he took office as a member of the Panama Canal Authority’s Board of Directors.
