The Panama Canal has published Amendment No. 3 to the Prequalification Document for the Corozal and Telfers Container Port Terminals initiative, as part of the process being carried out to select the future concessionaire.
The prequalification stage of this initiative began with the publication of the Prequalification Document on January 30, 2026, and was subsequently updated through Amendment No. 1, published on March 30, 2026, and Amendment No. 2, published on May 29, 2026.
The publication of the Prequalification Document, the clarifications period, the issuance of amendments, and deadline extensions are part of the mechanisms established under the Concessions Regulation of the Panama Canal Authority, which facilitate interaction between interested parties and the organization. The documentation submitted by participants will be evaluated in accordance with the technical, financial, and legal criteria defined in the prequalification document and its respective amendments.
The Corozal and Telfers Container Port Terminals initiative aims to strengthen the country’s logistics connectivity, expand capabilities that complement the Panama Canal, and capitalize on opportunities arising from the evolution of international maritime trade, contributing to the development of a more competitive and efficient port system.
