Panama, September 11, 2001 – The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) announced that the Canal has strengthened its internal security mechanisms and is working in coordination with the Panamanian government’s security organizations, in response to the acts of terrorism suffered in the United States today.
The ACP has assured the international maritime community and its users that the Canal continues to operate normally and without interruption.
